Administrative Fee Schedule

The creation of philanthropic funds at the Moundridge Community Foundation is driven by each donor’s wishes. Administrative fees offset costs including fund management, investment oversight and grant making. Fees vary depending on the type and size of fund. A minimum annual fee of $25.00 will be applied to all non-endowed funds. Administrative fees are charged monthly (except where noted) and withdrawn from the fund’s principal. All fees are based on the principal market value of each month.

UNRESTRICTED AND FIELD OF INTEREST FUNDS
The fee for these funds is 1.50% per year, calculated and withdrawn monthly based on the principal market value at the end of the quarter.

ORGANIZATIONAL ENDOWMENTS AND DESIGNATED FUNDS
The fee for these funds is 0.75% per year, calculated and withdrawn monthly based on the principal market value at the end of the month.

SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS
A fee of 1.0% will be assessed annually for scholarship funds administered by MCF. If the application process is administered by MCF, an additional 1% fee will be assessed annually.

AFFILIATE FUNDS
The fee for these funds is 1.00% per year, calculated and withdrawn monthly based on the principal market value at the end of the month.

CHARITABLE REMAINDER TRUSTS (where MCF is trustee)
A 1.00% fee will be assessed when the trust is created. Additional fees will be charged to cover legal fees to draw from the trust and for annual tax preparation.

CHARITABLE GIFT ANNUITIES
A 1.00% administrative fee will be assessed annually on the market value of the annuity. Upon termination of the charitable gift annuity the proceeds must add to or create an endowed fund at MCF; the applicable fee will be assessed on that fund.

ADDITIONAL GIVING OPTIONS

Online Giving: Funds may accept credit card donations online via the MCF’s website. All applicable fees will be charged to the donation.

Fundraising: If you wish to engage in fundraising activities to add to your fund, please ask for our fund raising policies and guidelines.

Special Project and pass-through funds: From time to time, the MCF is asked to be a fiscal sponsor for a special project or to administer a fund that will serve as a pass-through for a particular project. These funds may have a large number of contributions, disbursements or both. Our fee will be 2-10% of the contributions received based upon the nature of the work required by the MCF.
